Bertrand’s career started in 2007 at the age of 22, doubling as a charter broker and charter manager for a French company based in Antibes. Since then, he has gained valuable knowledge, working for some of the most established brokerage houses such as Fraser in Monaco, or taking up the challenge of setting up a charter department from the ground up, for a London-based merchant bank setting a new benchmark for the superyacht industry.

One of the secrets of his success lies in his profound commitment to his clients’ best interests. Bertrand has never had to face a shortage of ideas when making his goals a reality. He is creative, meticulous and is truly devoted to the excellence of his work.

“It was important for me to have diverse experiences, to develop an overall understanding of my business and in 2016, to use this knowledge to choose a company with a long-term perspective. I had always been attracted by Bluewater as a company, so I feel it is thus quite natural that I am here today.”

It is easy to see that Bertrand is passionate about his job, but when he is not working he spends most of his time exploring the chef d’oeuvres of contemporary French literature, or writing what may become his first novel one day. Perhaps. He is an avid reader and devotes a large share of his life to writing.
